Friends and acquaintances respectfully invited to attend. The funeral of Vermont Davenport, who was killed in a railroad accident Monday near Hyndman, Bedford county, Pa., and whose remains arrived here Friday evening via the New York, Philadelphia and Norfolk railroad, took place from the First Baptist Church yesterday morning at 10:30 o’clock and were conducted by the pastor of the church, the Rev. E. B. Hatcher. The following young companions of the deceased acted as pallbearers: Columbus Ricardo, J. L. Bocrie, J. P. Bullock, Leon Trudewind, G. S. McClennen. The interment was in Elmwood Cemetery.
