Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Tuesday, July 12, 1994 
Steven L. Davenport, 34, of the 1000 block of Wall St., an electrician, died
July 8, 1994, in Norfolk.

Mr. Davenport was born in Norfolk, son of Helen V. Davenport of Norfolk and the
late Herbert L. Mitchell. He was a Methodist and was employed with Hampton Roads
Sanitation for 10 years.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by one daughter, Leslie F. Williams of
Norfolk; one son, Jeston L. Dean of Atlanta; one sister, Carol L. Woodhouse of
Norfolk; one brother, Shelby L. Davenport of Petersburg, Va.; and a host of
nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Wesley Union AMEZ Church,
807 Johnson Ave., by the Rev. P.N. Shannon. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery
.The family will assemble at 1025 Wall St. The remains will be taken to church
at 11 a.m. Thursday. Hale Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
