Norfolk - Mrs. Aliene J. Davenport of 929 Anna Street died Friday, October 18,
in a local hospital.

A native of Norfolk she was a former teacher in the Norfolk City School System
and was a graduate of Hampton Institute. She was also a member of the Clover
Leaf Club and the Friday Evening Club.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Edith D. Coltron; a son, Dr. Harold S.
Davenport Jr. of Brooklyn, NY; and three grandchildren.

A mass of the resurrection was held Monday, October 21, at noon in St. Mary’s
Catholic Church by Father Thomas J. Quinlan.

Burial was in Calvary Cemetery. The Riddick Funeral Home was in charge.
