                            Mrs. Vera E. David

A funeral service for Mrs. Vera E. David of 914 Pollard Ave. will be held 
Thursday at 3 p.m. in Metropolitan AMEZ Church by the Rev. Richard A. Councill. 
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with Graves Funeral Home in charge.
She was a member of Metropolitan AMEZ Church, chairman of the Life Member 
Council, Norfolk District of Virginia Annual Conference, Missionary Society, 
Senior Choir, Order of Tents, a past deacon, president of the Sun Flower Club, 
secretary of the Lindenwood Beautification Club, a past daughter ruler of B1 
Elks, deputy and past matron of Eastern Star Blooming Light Chapter 11. 
Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Ophelia Chadwick of Durham, N.C., Mrs. 
Sammy Alston of Hartville, S.C. and Miss Marie Caston of Winston-Salem, N.C. and 
a brother, William Caston of Albany, N.Y
