Virginian-Pilot December 11, 1907
The funeral of the late William R. Davidson was held from the family residence, 
66 Cumberland street, at 3 o’clock yesterday afternoon and was attended by the 
Eagles, the Screwmen’s Union and members of the police force of the city, the 
deceased having been a member of each of these organizations. The service was 
conducted by Rev. W. G. Starr, D.D., of the Cumberland Street Methodist church. 
The remains were laid to rest in Elmwood cemetery.
Following were the pallbearers:
Eagles—L. E. Blondell, James Luck, Thomas Land and Mr. Stanton.
Screwmen—James E. Prince and Robert Foster.
Police—John Godfrey and Peter Martin.
Citizens—Dan Ryan and John Kelly.
