Davidson, one of Norfolk's oldest and most highly esteemed ladies, died in her home 18 Brown street, Sunday afternoon at 5:30 o'clock. Although she had been in failing health for some time Miss Davidson's death came unexpectedly and was a severe blow to her many friends and relatives. Miss Davidson was a native of Virginia and had resided in Norfolk for over fifty years. She was engaged for between twenty-five and thirty years as a teacher in the public schools of Norfolk, having retired from that service about ten years ago. Miss Davidson was known and loved by hundreds of men and women of Norfolk who received elementary education under her direction. Notice of funeral will appear later.
