Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Friday, January 20, 1995 
Oren S. Davidson of the 7000 block of Gregory Drive died Jan. 18, 1995, in his
residence.

He was born in Charlotte, N.C., and was a member of St. John AME Church in
Norfolk, the Steward Board, Lay Organization, Chancel Choir and Omnimen. He was
a volunteer with the Tidewater Virginia Literacy Council, a member of the
Advisory Board, a member of the What's Civic & Social Club and the Thursday
Evening Leisure Men's Club.

Survivors include his wife, Leontine Davidson; a daughter, Ellen L. Davidson of
Norfolk; a grandchild, Gregory O. Davidson, and a great-grandson, Oren M.
Davidson, both of Plamdale, Calif.; a daughter-in-law, Tanya Diggs-Davidson of
Palmdale; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday in St. John AME Church Bute Street
by the Rev. I.W. Knight. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Community Funeral
Home, Norfolk Chapel, is in charge. The body will be in church at 10:30 a.m.
