Norfolk Virginian Pilot December 22, 1941

Samuel C. Davidson, aged 87, son of the late William Beck and Mrs. Elizabeth 
Davidson, died at a local hospital Saturday night.  Mr. Davidson was a native of 
New York and a resident of Norfolk for the past 60 years, residing at 2621 
Ruffin Way at the time of his death.  He was a life member of Norfolk Lodge 38, 
B.P.O. Elks. 
 He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Charlotte Armitage, of Detroit, Mich.; a 
niece, Mrs. Elizabeth B. Nagle, of Norfolk and a number of other nieces and 
nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the chapel of the H.D. Oliver Funeral 
Apartments, 1501 Colonial Avenue, tomorrow morning at 11 o'clock, with the Rev. 
Paul V. Heller, of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, officiating. Burial will be in 
Elmwood Cemetery.
