Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Sunday, March 29, 1998 
Marietta J. Davidson, of the 700 block of Easy St., formerly of the 800 block of
Washington Ave., died March 26, 1998, in Norfolk Health Care Center.

Born in Norfolk, she was the widow of Charles C. Davidson. She was re- tired
from clerical work for the Norfolk Public School System and Norfolk Community
Hospital. She was a member of St. John A.M.E. Church, where she also retired as
an organist. She was a member of the Davidson Ensemble of the church and L.
Sherman Greene Chorale.

Survivors include two sons, Charles H. Davidson of Virginia Beach, Wil- liam R.
Davidson of Norfolk; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

A funeral will be at noon Wednesday in St. John A.M.E. Church by the Rev. Dr.
I.W. Knight. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . The remains will be ready for
viewing from 3:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. The body will be taken to the church at 10
a.m. Wednesday. The family will assemble at 277 S. Parliament Drive, Virginia
Beach, at 11 a.m. for the procession. Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home, Norfolk
Chapel, is in charge.
