Mrs. Marie Couch Davies, 74, of 404 Dune St., formerly organist at Sacred Heart 
and Blessed Sacrament Catholic Churches, died Monday in a Norfolk hospital.  A 
native of Philadelphia, Pa., she lived in Norfolk 57 years and was the wife of 
Charles R. Davies and a daughter of the late Pereley and Mrs. Marie Frances Couch.

Others surviving are two sons, Charles R. Davies Jr. of Houston, Tex., and F. J. 
Davies of East Portland, Maine; and a sister, Mrs. Helen C. Ballance of Norfolk.  
The body will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Holy Trinity 
Catholic Church for a funeral service at 10 a.m. Wednesday.  Burial will be in St. 
Mary's Cemetery.  The rosary will be recited in the funeral apartments at 8:30 
tonight.
