Virginian PIlot December 31, 1909
William J. Davis Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. W.J. Davis, died at the home of his 
parents, 400 Freemason street at midnight Wednesday in the 24th year of his 
age.  Young Davis was a native of Portsmouth, where he passed his early life, 
but was well-known in both cities.  His illness had been of some duration.  
Besides his parents, the deceased is survived by two brothers, and two sisters, 
G.M. and Richard C. Davis, and Misses Loraine and Ada Davis.  The funeral will 
be held from the residence of his parents at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon.
