Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark February 19, 1918

Jackson Stonewall Davis, aged 54 years, died yesterday afternoon at 12:15 o'clock 
at his residence, No. 8 First Street, East Brambleton. He is survived by nine 
children, five daughters, Mrs. T.J. Murphy, Princess Anne County; Mrs. Ralph 
Sturgis, Mrs. F.E. Warner, Mrs. C.L. Bibb and Mrs. L. Bibb, all of Norfolk; four 
sons, Claude, Albert, Andrew and Arthur Davis, all of Norfolk; one sister, Mrs. 
Margaret Lambert; one brother, William Davis, both of Norfolk. The funeral will be 
held at the residence at 3 o'clock Thursday afternoon.
