Davis, son of the late Patrick H. Davis, of this city, died in Richmond yesterday morning, aged 25 years. His remains will arrive here via the Norfolk and Western railway at 11:25 this morning. ************* DAVIS - In Richmond, Va., on Monday, August 20th, 1900, ROBERT JOHN JOSEPH, eldest son of the late Captain Patrick H. and Mary Ann Davis, age 25 years. Funeral services will take place from St. Mary's Catholic Church on arrival of Norfolk and Western train at 11:25 o'clock THIS (Tuesday) MORNING. Friends are invited to attend. Virginian Pilot August 21, 1900 **************************************************************************** Funeral of Mr. R. J. J. Davis All that was mortal of Mr. Robert J.J. Davis, who departed this life at the Retreat for the Sick, in Richmond, Monday, arrived in Norfolk yesterday morning over the Norfolk and Western railway, accompanied by relatives. The funeral was conducted from St. Mary's Catholic Church by the pastor, Rev. Father John Doherty. The remains were laid to rest in the family enclosure in St. Mary's Cemetery. Following were the pallbearers: Messrs. Joseph Hennelly, James T. Hannan, Curry Daughtrey, J.P. Farley, Frank O'Connor, LeRoy L. Peed and E.L. Mahoney. The deceased was the son of the late Capt. Patrick H. and Mary Ann Davis, of this city.
