Norfolk - Tommie Davis of 1210 Wide St., the husband of Mrs. Helen C. Davis 
and a native of Spring Hope, NC, died Tuesday, Mar. 11, in a hospital.

He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Antioch Baptist 
Church.

Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Barbara J. Reed of Maryland;  a stepson, 
James Bowe of Norfolk;  two sisters, Mrs. Hattie Westry of Montclair, NJ;  
and Mrs. Laura Wilkins of Spring Hope;  and a grandchild.

A funeral service was held Saturday in Antioch Baptist Church by the Rev. I. 
Joseph Williams.  Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with Graves Funeral Home in 
charge.
