Mrs. Clara Davis of 1531 Dungee street, died in a Norfolk hospital March 27 
following a short illness.

A native of Norfolk, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard 
Robinson and the wife of Charles Davis Sr.  She held membership in the St. John 
AME Church and the United Order of Tents.

Survivors include her husband, a son, Charles Davis Jr.; six daughters, Mesdames 
Araminta Fred, Clarastine Edwards, Mattie Taborn, Gertrude Matthews, Barbara 
Wilkes and Augustine Patterson, all of Norfolk;  a brother, Richard Robinson, 
and a half sister, Mrs. Eva Whitfield.

Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.  Funeral arrangements made with Graves Funeral 
Home.
