Norfolk - Funeral services were held recently for Shirley (AKA Sherlie)Davis, of 
the 1200 block of Va. Beach boulevard, in the Hale Funeral Home chapel.  
Interment followed in Calvary Cemetery.

A native of Wilmington, NC, he was the son of the late John and Mrs. Sarah Davis 
and the husband of Mrs. Katie Davis.

He was retired from the City of Norfolk, Department of Public Safety.

Besides his widow, he is survived by three brothers, Albert Davis of Chappanoke, 
NC, Herbert Davis, and Percy Davis both of Norfolk VA, and four sisters, Mrs. 
Gracie Wiggins of New York, Mrs. Sarah Perkins of Edenton, NC, Miss Pearl Davis 
and Miss Dorothy Davis, both of Norfolk, VA.
