Norfolk Virginian August 11, 1896
Miss Daisy J. Davis died at her residence in Cape Charles City Sunday. The remains 
were brought to Norfolk and, after a funeral service at LeKies Memorial M. E. 
Church, conducted by the pastor, Rev. J. T. Routten, at 5 o’clock p.m., they were 
laid to rest in Elmwood Cemetery.
