Norfolk Virginian February 7, 1893 & Norfolk Landmark February 8, 1893
The remains of Mr. Henry Davis, United States Navy, arrived here Sunday morning, 
via the Bay Line. The funeral took place from the boat, Rev. W. H. Edwards, of 
Central M. E. Church, Portsmouth, conducting the service. The remains were placed 
in the receiving vault at Elmwood Cemetery.

DAVIS – In Baltimore, Wednesday February 1st, 1893, HENRY DAVIS, Carpenter in the 
United States Navy, formerly of Portsmouth, Va.
