NEWPORT NEWS, Nov. 4. Mrs. Ida Lee Davis, 85, died Thursday afternoon in Patrick 
Henry Hospital after a six-month illness.
A Newport News resident for 30 years, she was a member of Dorcas Class, Calvary 
Baptist Church and a retired employee of Nachman’s Department Store. She was the 
widow of Walter F. Davis.
She is survived by one niece, Mrs. Edith Ellis, of Hollywood, Fla.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the Peninsula Funeral 
Home by the Rev. Albert E. Simms, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church. A second 
service will follow at the grave in Elmwood Cemetery, Norfolk, at 4:15 p.m.
