Norfolk Ledger-Dispatch May 13, 1935
DAVIS, JOHN VERNON, JR. – Suddenly, at Lynnhaven Inlet, Princess Anne County, 
Sunday, April 28, 1935, about 8 a.m., JOHN VERNON DAVIS, JR., beloved husband of 
Florence Moore Davis, and son of Mrs. Helen Caffee and the late John V. Davis, in 
the 20th year  of his age.
Remains will be taken from the funeral home of James V. Derry, 346 West Princess 
Anne road, corner Moran avenue, to the residence of his aunt, Mrs. W. R. Parker, 
4505 Colonial avenue, for funeral services TUESDAY AFTERNOON, May 14, 1935, at 2 
o’clock. Friends of the family invited to attend. Burial, Elmwood Cemetery.
