Norfolk Virginian August 20, 1891
A white woman named Mary Davis, about fifty-five years of age, was found dead in 
bed in the house, No. 15 Nebraska street, yesterday morning, and it is supposed 
that she died from cholera morbus. Dr. E. V. Newton, city coroner, was notified 
and viewed the body. He gave a certificate of death, not considering an inquest 
necessary.
