Norfolk Ledger-Dispatch
Mrs. Mary Hunter Davis, widow of Miles Davis, died yesterday afternoon at her 
home, No. 301 Duke street, in her 72d year. She was a native of Norfolk, had spent 
her entire life here, being widely known and highly esteemed. She leaves a sister, 
Mrs. Joseph P. Morgan, of Norfolk, and a brother, James M. Drewrey, of Princess 
Anne county. The funeral occurs at 11 a.m. tomorrow at the residence, Rev. G. W. 
Perryman officiating. Interment in Elmwood.
