Virginian-Pilot July 11, 1948
Edward Thomas Davis, 90, of Richmond, native of Norfolk and son of the late 
Larkin and Virginia Face Davis, died yesterday at 4:55 a.m. at the residence of 
his daughter, Mrs. L. C. Hopkins at 2418 Barton Avenue, Richmond.
He is survived by another daughter, Mrs. J. Leslie Griffin, of Altamonte 
Springs, Fla., a son, Edward H. Davis, of Brooklyn, N.Y.; two grandchildren, 
Mrs. William H. Ware, of Portsmouth and Davis L. Griffin, of Norfolk, and two 
great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Ewell and Williamson Funeral Home 
tomorrow at 3:30 p.m. by Rev. Andrew M. Coltharp, pastor of the Ocean View 
Baptist Church. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
