Norfolk - Bernard L. Davis, 56, of 744 Reservoir Ave., the husband of Mrs. 
Dorothy W. Davis and a native of Portsmouth, died Wednesday.

He was custodian for the Kresge Building for 17 years.

Other survivors include his mother, Mrs. Ida Davis Ruffin, two daughters, Mrs. 
Patricia Melvinville and Miss Michelle Davis of Baltimore;  four sons, Stanton 
Davis, Frank Davis, and Lamont Davis of Norfolk, and Eric Davis of Baltimore;  a 
sister, Mrs. Ida Davis Goodman of Norfolk;  two brothers, Aris Davis of Virginia 
Beach and Vincent J. Davis of Silver Spring, MD;  and three grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in Jones Funeral Home by the 
Rev. Hilton Felton.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
