Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark January 13, 1926
Mrs. Alice Susan Davis, aged 78, died at her residence, 206 West Princess Anne 
road, yesterday morning at 9:15 o'clock.  She is survived by eight daughters: Mrs. 
J.P. McCoy, Mrs. Stella Ayers, Mrs. Roger Smith, Mrs. Joseph Phelps and Mrs. James 
Powell, all of Norfolk; Mrs. James Bishop, of Newport News; Mrs. H.S. Sullivan, of 
Savannah, Ga. and Mrs. Herbert Wilson, of Washington; two sons, W.L Davis, of 
Norfolk and J.E.C. Davis, of Princess Anne County; 33 grandchildren and seven 
great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Christian Temple tomorrow afternoon at 3 
o'clock.  Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
