Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark Wednesday August 16, 1933

Charles R. Davis, aged 59, for many years proprietor of a delicatessen stand in 
the City Market, died Monday night at the residence, 223 West Thirty-fourth 
street.
He was a son of the late L.G. Davis and Mrs. Martha Davis and leaves his wife, 
Mrs. Frances P. Davis; a daughter, Mrs. Leo Blash, of Elmira, N.Y.; a son, 
Leslie Davis, of Arsing, N.Y., three sisters, Mrs. E.R. Ward, and Miss Molly 
Davis, of Norfolk and Mrs. Dora E. Hargrove, of Princess Anne County, a brother, 
Horatio Davis, ot Norfolk and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock at the residence.  
Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
