The Virginian-Pilot, Saturday, August 26, 1961

NORFOLK - Moses Davis, 86, of 2407 Jamaica Ave. died Thursday in his home after 
short illness.

He was a son of Ira and Mrs. Martha Davis and was born in Norfolk.

He worked for Powers & Anderson Surgical Supply Co. 24 years. He was a member of 
Sons of Norfolk and Odd Fellows.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Albera Davis; two foster sons, Lorenzo Harris and 
Pvt. Lawrence Harris, USA; and one foster daughter, Mrs. Shirley Ruffin of 
Hartford, Conn.

A funeral service will be held in Morning Glory Funeral Home Sunday at 2 p.m., 
with burial in Calvary Cemetery.
