NORFOLK - Mrs. Roxie Davis of 945 Hanson Ave. died Wednesday in her home after a
long illness.

A native of Pasquotank, N.C., she was a daughter of Elijah and Mrs. Sabra Edge and
the widow of George W. Davis.

Surviving are a son, Nathaniel Stewart of New York; three daughters, Mrs. Sarah
Lawrence of Norfolk, Mrs. Ruth Wadder of Lancaster, and Mrs. Marie Ransom of
Norfolk; a sister, Mrs. Lucy Hart of New York; two grandchildren; and two
great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. in New Calvary Baptist Church
by Dr. Milton Reid. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with B.F. King Funeral Home
in charge.
