NORFOLK - Stanley Higgs Davis of 948 St. Julian Ave. died Thursday in his home.

A native of Norfolk, he was the husband of Mrs. Beatrice Davis. He was a self
employed plasterer for 30 years.

Besides his widow, survivors include a daughter, Miss Miriam B. Davis of Norfolk,
three sons, Micah S. Davis, Timothy B. Davis and James R. Davis, all of Norfolk; a
stepson, David T. Long of Norfolk; three sisters, Mrs. Shirley D. McGlone, Mrs.
Arizona D. Johnson and Mrs. Hazel D. Johnson, all of Norfolk, and four brothers,
Vinson G. Davis and Melvin S. Davis, both of Norfolk, Julian M. Davis of Baltimore
and John a. Davis of Brooklyn.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in St. Mary's Holy Mt. Christian
Church by the Rev. Oliver Welch. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Riddick Funeral
Home has charge. The family will be at 1238 Maltby Ave., the home of Mrs. Shirley D.
McGlone.
