NORFOLK - Robert J. (Bob) Davis Jr. of 535 Delaware Ave. died Saturday.

He was retired from the Merchant Marine as a seaman after 35 years. He was a native
of Warrenton, N.C., and the husband of Mrs. Josephine Davis.

Other survivors include a daughter, Ms. Barbara Davis of New York; two sisters, Mrs.
Celesta D. Evans and Mrs. Annie B. Tompkins of Norfolk; two grandchildren; and
nieces and nephews.

The body was taken to Hale Funeral Home. A funeral will be held Saturday at 1 p.m.
in Garretts Community Church by the Rev. Henry Dixon. Burial will be in Calvary
Cemetery.
