Virginian Pilot January 28, 1971 

AKRON, Ohio - Leroy Davis, a native of Norfolk and a long time resident of 
Akron, died Friday after a brief illness.
He was a son of the late Samuel and Mrs. Estelle Dodson Davis of Norfolk. He was 
educated in Norfolk public schools.
Earlier he owned Davis Nursing Home in Columbus, Ohio. He then moved to Akron, 
where he was foreman of the Lectromelt Casting Division. He also owned Davis' 
Collateral Loans Co.
Surviving are a brother, Webster Davis of Norfolk and four sisters, Mrs. Estelle 
Davis and Miss Selena Davis of Norfolk and Mrs. Julia Stovel and Mrs. Leona 
Hobbs of Baltimore.
The body is being sent to Riddick Funeral Service, Norfolk. 
A funeral service will be held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. in First Pentecostal Church, 
Wood Street, Norfolk, by the Rev. Beulah F. Dodson.
The family will assemble at 971 Anna St. Norfolk.
