NORFOLK - Eartha H. Davis, 78, of the 800 block of E. Virginia Beach Blvd., a
retired housekeeper, died Sept. 15,1987, in a hospital.
  Mrs. Davis, a native of Sumter SC, was a member of Greater Metropolitan A.M.E.
Church.  She was a member of United Order of Tents and Altar Guild Club.  She
was retired from Old Dominion University after 12 years of service.
  Survivors include a daughter, Paralee Percy of Norfolk, two grandchildren, and
five great-grandchildren.
  The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Greater Metropolitan
A.M.E. Church by the Rev. E. H. Whitley.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
  Hale Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
  The family will assemble at 2540 Tidewater Drive.
  The body will be taken to the church at 10:30 a.m. Saturday.
