Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Wednesday, February 9, 1994 
Edward ``Kit'' Davis of the 2400 block of West Ave., a retired presser, died
Feb. 7, 1994, in a local hospital.

Mr. Davis was born in Henderson, N.C., and was a member of Mount Olive Baptist
Church. He was retired from Cascade Cleaners.

Survivors include his wife, Laura L. Davis; two sons, Leroy Davis of
Philadelphia and Stephen A. Davis of Norfolk; one sister, Magnolia Etheridge of
Newark, N.J.; one brother, Simon Peter Davis of Warrenton, N.C.; five
grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in Calvary Cemetery by
the Rev. John R. Davis. Family and friends will assemble at Graves Funeral Home
at 12:15 p.m. for a processional to the cemetery. Friends my join the family at
the residence after the service.
