She was a native of Atlantic City, N.J., and the daughter of the late Everette and Laura Thomas Durant. She was the widow of Caulbert W. Davis Jr. She retired as a seamstress from Coronet Casuals in Portsmouth. She was a member of First Baptist Church Bute Street where she served as an usher on Usher Board No. 2, Seniors in Action, Helpers Ministry and the George Jefferson Missionary Circle. She leaves to cherish her precious memory her daughter, Donna L. Sharpe (Ronnie E.); an adopted daughter, Rita A. Winfield; grandchildren, Charles D. Davis, Timothy D. Bond, Caulbert W. Davis IV and Ronnica L. Sharpe; eight great-grandchildren and a host of cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her son, Caulbert W. "Chuck" Davis III. A funeral will be held at noon Friday in First Baptist Church Bute Street, 415 Bute St., with the Rev. Dr. Robert G. Murray officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Viewing will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Riddick Funeral Service. Her body will be placed in church at 11 a.m. Friday. The family will be at 4016 Ebbtide Lane, Portsmouth, the home of Ronnie and Donna Sharpe.
