VIRGINIA BEACH - On Jan. 23, 1999, God opened His heaven and plucked a beautiful 
flower for His garden by the name of Christopher Warren Davis, beloved son of 
Shelia B. Davis.

"Chris," a resident of the 5400 block of Albright Drive in Virginia Beach, was a 
graduate of Norfolk Catholic High School and attended Elizabeth City State 
University. He was employed by Haverty's Furniture Co. up until the time of his 
death and was a Los Angeles Lakers fan.

He leaves behind his mother, Shelia B. Davis of Virginia Beach; his grandfather, 
Daniel A. Brown Sr. of Chesapeake; a brother, Zagala Von Brown of Portsmouth; a 
sister-in-law, Kerashia Brown of Portsmouth; two nephews, Zagala and Markell 
Brown; three special uncles, Daniel A. Brown Jr., Clifford and Valencia Brown and 
Tyrone and Cecilia Brown, all of Chesapeake; and a host of aunts, uncles, close 
family friends and relatives.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. today at St. Mary's Catholic Church in 
Norfolk by Father Walter Barrett. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Graves 
Funeral Home, Norfolk, is handling arrangements.
