William Percy Davis of 950 Cecilia St., a 1974 graduate of Booker T. Washington High School and a Norfolk native, was fatally injured Sept. 27 in an automobile accident in West Germany, where he was stationed. He was a son of Mrs. Elizabeth D. Simpson and stepson of Edward Davis. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Other survivors include five sisters, Mrs. Clarice D. Johnson and Mrs. Mary E. Herndon of Baltimore, Mrs. Carolyn D. Phelps and Ms. Sharon Davis of Norfolk, and Ms. Alice Davis of Hampton; and five brothers, Joseph G. Durham of New York, Steve E. Durham, John M. Durham, Milton L. Davis, and Farod M. Shahid of Norfolk. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 11 a.m. in St. Mary’s Catholic Church by the Rev. Thomas L. Quinlan. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery with Graves Funeral Home in charge. A Christian Wake service will be said Friday night at 7 in the church. The family will be at his home. The family suggests that flowers be omitted and memorial donations made to St. Mary’s Catholic School.
