Mrs. Mamie Morgan Davis, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Rome of Matthews
County, VA, died Sunday June 2 in a local hospital. She lived at 1702 Hamlin
avenue and was 75 at the time of death.

Mrs. Davis was a member of First Baptist Church, Bute street. She is survived by
her husband, Charlie Davis.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 9 at 9 p.m. at Hale Funeral Chapel,
with the Rev. Z. P. Jenkins, pastor of Union Christian Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with Hale Funeral in charge.
