He was a native of Perquimans County, N.C., but had been a resident of this section 15 years. He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Davis and is survived by his wife, Mrs. Emma J. Davis; two daughters, Mrs. Lizzie Weatherington and Mrs. J.F. Goodwin seven sons, Alonza, W.G., W.A., T.T., Elisha, Herbert and John Davis, all of this section. The body was taken to the funeral home of E. Lee Cox, 124 East Berkley Avenue. Funeral arrangements had not been completed last night. ****************************************************************************** William Thomas Davis - Funeral services for Mr. Davis, who died at his home 816 East Liberty Street, South Norfolk, Monday afternoon, will be conducted at the funeral home of E. Lee Cox, 124 East Berkley Avenue, this afternoon at 5 o'clock. The Rev. O.D. Poythress, pastor of the South Norfolk Christian Church, will officiate and burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
