Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Monday, June 21, 1999 
Estelle Georgianna Davis, formerly of the 900 block of Anna St., died Wednesday,
July 16, 1999, at Northwestern General Hospital, Randallstown, Md.

She was a native of Norfolk and the daughter of Attorney Samuel B. and Estelle
Dodson Davis. Ms. Davis was a member of First Baptist Church, Bute Street. She
was a graduate of Virginia Union University and received her masters of arts
degree from New York University. She was retired from the Norfolk Public School
System, where she began her career as a classroom teacher, and retired as a
guidance counselor.

She leaves to cherish her memory three sisters, Julia D. Stovel, Selena Davis
Robinson and Leona D. Hobbs; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other
relatives and friends. She was predeceased by two brothers, Leroy Davis and
Webster Davis.

A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church, 418 E. Bute
St., by Dr. Robert G. Murray. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Visitation
will from 2 to 8 Tuesday at Riddick Funeral Service, Norfolk Chapel. The body
will be placed in the church at noon Wednesday. The family will receive friends
at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the church. The funeral will assemble at 1:45 p.m.
Wednesday.
