Virginian Pilot September 11, 1955

Mrs. Annie Victoria Ayers Dawber, 85, widow of George Frederick Dawber and 
daughter of the late William T. and Mrs. Catherine Dyer Ayers, died at the 
residence of her daughter, Mrs. A. Joel Jackson, 415 Brackenridge Avenue, 
yesterday at 3 a.m.
Beside Mrs. Jackson, she is survived by two other daughters, Mrs. Florence 
Dawber Morrisette and Mrs. Ruth L. Chapman; a sister, Mrs. W.J. Bonney; a 
brother, Vasco D. Ayers; two grandsons, Howard L. Chapman, Jr. and Arthur J. 
Jackson, Jr. and a great-granddaughter, Miss Claudia Ann Chapman, all of 
Norfolk.
Mrs. Dawber was a native of Princess Anne County and had been a resident of 
Norfolk for 65 years.  Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown 
Funeral Home tomorrow at 2 p.m.  Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
