Dawes was found in Smith's Creek, under Drummond bridge, yesterday morning by two colored men, who notified the authorities of the fact. A coroner's jury was empanelled, which brought in a verdict in accordance with the facts elicited. The funeral of the deceased took place yesterday afternoon from the residence of his father, on Boush Street. The following gentlemen acted as pallbearers: C.B. Bernard, Harry Browne, J.E. Wales, W.A. Young, W.W. Dey, R.E. Tebault, C.W. Worthem, E.D. Bradford.
