Norfolk Virginian Pilot March 4, 1944

Mrs. Anna M. Dawes 82, widow of George H. Dawes and daughter of the late Robert 
N.W. and Mrs. Virginia Smith Keeling, a lifelong resident of this community, 
died at the Lydia H. Roper Home, yesterday afternoon at 3:15 o'clock. She is 
survived by a niece, Mrs. Nina Underwood, of Norfolk; two nephews, Lloyd W. 
Keeling, of Norfolk and Edward Keeling, of Oregon and a cousin, Mrs. E.J. 
Brickhouse of Norfolk.
Funeral services at the chapel of the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Monday 
morning at 11 o'clock, with the Rev. John F. Owens, pastor of Colonial Avenue 
Methodist Church, of which Mrs. Dawes was a member, officiating.  Interment, 
Elmwood Cemetery.
