Norfolk Virginian Pilot Friday January 8, 1943
Mrs. Lena Augusta Miller Dawson, age 51, died at a local hospital last night 
at 8:15 o'clock after a long illness.  She was the daughter of the late 
Frank and Mary Frost Miller, a native of Nansemond County, and a resident of 
Norfolk for 40 years.  Surviving her are a son, William G. Dawson, of 
Norfolk; a daughter, Mrs. Doris Colona; three brothers, Joseph A. Miller, of 
Chicago; Luther C. and George E. Miller, of Norfolk; a grandchild and 
several nieces and nephews.  The body was removed to the funeral chapel of 
James V. Derry, 1920 Colley avenue, pending funeral arrangements.  She was a 
member of Silver Stream Council No. 16, Daughters of Pocahontas.

Mrs. Lena Augusta Dawson  Funeral services for Mrs. Dawson will be conducted 
in the funeral chapel of James V. Derry, 1920 Colley avenue, this afternoon 
at 2:30 o'clock.  The Rev. B.M. Persinger, D.D., pastor of Epworth Methodist 
Church, will officiate.  Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
