The Virginian Pilot Tuesday January 20, 1959
Ralph Day, 51, of 1431 Lawrence St., South Norfolk, died Monday at 7:40 a.m. 
in a Norfolk hospital.
He was the husband of Mrs. Julia Hart Day and the son of Mrs. Minnie Knight.
A native of Brownbranch, Mo., he had resided here for the past 15 years.  He 
was a painter at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard.
Besides his wife and mother he is survived by one stepson, William Bateman, 
of Denver, Colorado; three sisters, Mrs. Hilda Pollard of Brownbranch; Mrs. 
Virginia Simpson and Mrs. Mildred Smith, both of Seattle, Wash., and four 
brothers, David Knight, Moses Knight and Joseph Knight, all of Longrum, Mo., 
and Peter Knight of Seattle.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Graham Funeral Home Wednesday at 1 
p.m.  Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetry.
