Norfolk Virginian Pilot Sunday October 28, 1945
Charlie Thomas Day, Jr., 53, of 28 Hoffman Street, Philadelphia, Pa., died 
in a Philadelphia hospital Friday at 2 p.m. after an illness of three weeks.
A native of Lynchburg, he had made his home in Philadelphia for the past 30 
years. He was the son of the late Charlie Thomas and Zulika Scott Hall Day.
He is survived by three brothers, John T. Day, of Kenton, West Va., and 
Fletcher Scott Day and Edward G. Day of Norfolk.
The body will be forwarded to Sykes Funeral Home, Berkley, to arrive Monday. 
Funeral arrangements will be announced later.

DAY, CHARLIE THOMAS, Jr. -- In a Philadelphia, Pa. hospital Friday, October 
26, 1945, at 2 p.m. CHARLIE THOMAS DAY, Jr., son of the late Charlie Thomas 
and Zulika Scott Hall Day, aged 53. The body was removed to the Sykes 
Funeral Home, 124 East Berkley Avenue, where funeral services will be held 
THIS (Monday) AFTERNOON at 3 o'clock. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
