Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Day of 1375 O’Keefe Street, died November 30 at  the age 
of 82 years.  She was a member of Metropolitan AMEZ Church, United Order of 
Tents and Court of Calanthe.  She was a native of Moyock, NC.

Funeral services were held Thursday, December 5 at Metropolitan AMEZ Church 
with the pastor, Rev. Council officiating.

Surviving her are a sister, Mrs. Nora Ashby;  nieces, Mrs. Alma Johnson, 
Mrs. Selena Gray, Mrs. Lola Lee,and Althlia Taylor;  two cousins, Mrs. 
Bessie Morgan, Va. Beach, and Mrs. Essie Ferebee.

Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with King’s Funeral Home in charge.

(per death certificate name is Mary Elizabeth Day, DOB 2/2/1875)
