Norfolk Journal and Guide,Saturday,Jan 7,1928
Mr. James Day, husband of Mrs. Alice Day, died December 26th, 1927 after a long
illness. Funeral was held at Springfield Baptist Church, Thursday 1 o’clock.
Owing to the illness of the pastor, Rev. Stokes of Shiloh Baptist church
officiated. The remains were laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery.
