Virginian Pilot Tuesday, May 22,1962
Norfolk - Clinton S. Deal, 84, of 1218 Midland St. died Sunday night in a
Norfolk hospital after a short illness.  

A native of Washington, he was a son of Steven and Mrs. Kathryn Deal and the
widower of Mrs. Lizzie Deal.

He was employed by Hugh A. Daughtery Co. for 30 years and was a member of St.
Thomas A.M.E. Zion Church.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Lille Pretlow, Mrs. Phyllis Riddick and Mrs.
Elizabeth Lamb, all of Norfolk.

The body was taken to Pretlow’s Funeral Home.  A funeral service will be
conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. in St. Thomas A.M.E Zion Church by the Rev. M. L.
Beamon.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
