The Virginian Pilot January 24, 1959


Norfolk-Walter Keeling Deal, 73, husband of Mrs. Ruth Williams Deal, and a 
son of the late George William and Mrs. Nannie Miller Deal, died at a 
Norfolk hospital Friday at 5:05 p.m. after an illness of six months.
He was a native of Norfolk and until recent months was a resident of 
Washington, D.C. He resided lately in Norfolk at 918 West Princess Anne Rd., 
Apt D2. He was a retired salesman and a member of the Baptist Church. 
Surviving, besides his wife, is one sister Mrs. R.E. O’Brien of St. 
Petersburg, Fla.; three nephews, R.L. O’Brien of St. Petersburg, Fla.; 
Webster Chandler, Jr. of Norfolk and R. Deal Chandler of Richmond.
The body was taken to the Cox Funeral Home, where funeral services will be 
conducted at a time to be announced. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
