Norfolk Virginian Pilot Thursday March 6, 1952
Charles Wilson Dear, 79, son of Edward F. and Mrs. Mary Stewart Dear, a native 
of Norfolk and a former resident of New York, died yesterday at 6:30 a.m. at 
the residence, 616 Graydon Avenue. Formerly department manager of Lord & 
Taylor, in New York, he was a member of St. Patrick's Cathedral, New York.
Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Julia Dear Miller, of Norfolk, and several 
cousins. Funeral services will be held at the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments 
tomorrow at noon. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
